About Father's Heart Projects
Charitable Status
Father’s Heart Projects Foundation, operating under the Trade Name of Father’s Heart Projects, is an Affiliate Member Organization of the Canadian Council of Christian Charities, and is recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency as a Registered Charitable Organization, with the ability to issue Tax Receipts for all donations made to our ministry. Countries of Involvement
Father’s Heart Projects’s current activities are located in Kisumu, Kenya, where we first began ministering in 2005, when Father’s Heart Projects Founder & President Paul Miles, visited and served in Kisumu on a Missions trip. We are currently exploring additional serving opportunities in countries both within Africa, and other parts of the world.
Primary Ministries
Currently, our primary ministry involvement in Kisumu, Kenya includes our Child Sponsorship Project, our Widow Sponsorship Project, and The Father’s Heart Primary School Project. Beginning with our first trip to Kenya, Father’s Heart Projects has initiated and continues to participate in Outreach Festivals and Medical Camps.
Operating by Faith
Father’s Heart Projects Staff, Missionaries and Projects operate by faith and are without financial guarantees of any kind. It is the generosity of people like you that sustains them and our mission. If you would like to partner with us by supporting one of our Children, Projects or Staff Members, we, and the recipients of your generosity will be eternally grateful.
Donation Allocation
Unlike many Ministry Organizations, we will not re-direct any percentage from "Designated" donations received at Father’s Heart Projects to help fund our Administration Expenses. For your information, it is very common for organizations to re-direct anywhere from 10% to over 20% from donations received to cover their Administration Expenses. We expect to fund our Administrative Expenses through donations designated for exactly those purposes. It is Father’s Heart Projects’s intention to ensure that 100% of your donation is directed to the Sponsored Child, Project or Staff Member, you have indicated is to be the desired benefactor of your donation. Father’s Heart Projects will only re-direct donations, if the intended “destination” has received all the funds required to meet its financial goal. These “re-directed” funds will be used, where best needed, at the discretion of Father’s Heart Projects. We take this responsibility very seriously. We commit to being responsible Stewards of all the funds and resources flowing through this ministry, being accountable to our Board, and ultimately, to God our Father.
The Results
Through the consistent and fervent prayers and the generous financial gifts of our Ministry Partners, along with the dedicated work of our Staff, Volunteers, Board Members, Field Workers and National Partners, the children in our programs are receiving proper nourishment, medical care, and an education; along with a strong sense of security, which includes spiritual and emotional development.
Our Board
Our current volunteer Board Members/Trustees are Paul Miles (Founder & President of Father's Heart Projects), Bill Hennessey (Businessman), Harry Wollin (Businessman). Father’s Heart Projects Staff member John Naud (Vice-President, Treasurer and Administrator) serves as Secretary on the Board. All of these men reside in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
